Is Earth a prison?

So I was thinking today there's supposed to be this God that made humans and the universe but 99.9% of the universe is a death trap for humans without protection and it's impossible for humans to travel to other galaxy's so why would a God create a prison on Earth and make it impossible to live in the rest of the universe.
