So it's that time of year again to renew my building insurance so I decided to have a survey to find out the rebuild cost and it came out as £786,545 this includes the demolition cost,legal fees and the complete rebuild because as you will know you insure the property for the rebuild cost not the value of the property.

This is  the cost of a 3 bedroom house in the part of London I live in . Other parts of the country you could probably have a six bedroom house built for that and I'm sure in some parts of America a small mansion.

It would be interesting to find out the value of property where you all live.
