What kind of Christmas or Hanukkah tree do you prefer? Some are short, some are tall, some are fat, some are thin, some are full and some are airy.  Some are real and some are fake. 

                                                     A big fat tree

                              Then there's the famous Charley Brown tree

                                                             An airy tree

                                                          A Hanukkah tree

And then there's the after tree. Poor tree...once so full of anticipation and cheer, then off to the trash heap it goes.

Here are some pro-tips for those of you traveling to see loved ones this season.

Each year the government subsidizes gift giving to the wealthy by taxing everybody's as yet unborn, children.  I wish I could tell you which subsidies for which you will be eligible this season, but I cant.  We'll just have to wait until the Senate version of the infrastructure bill is reconciled in the conference committee.  Come on legislators.  Get it together.  We don't buy your votes with the idea we'll have to delay our shopping.
