If you want to get "meta" with your gift to me, I'd be thrilled if you only thought carefully about some of these gift ideas...except for the Scotch.  Scotch is very real world and very serious stuff.

Each year the government subsidizes gift giving to the wealthy by taxing everybody's as yet unborn, children.  I wish I could tell you which subsidies for which you will be eligible this season, but I cant.  We'll just have to wait until the Senate version of the infrastructure bill is reconciled in the conference committee.  Come on legislators.  Get it together.  We don't buy your votes with the idea we'll have to delay our shopping.
